Ourutilizestight project controls and proactive problem solving toanticipateand mitigate issues and keep projects on time and on budget. You'll alsomaintaintransparent and effective communications with stakeholders andreport directly to theLongHaulDeployment Sr Manager.NOTE: The team is open to this role working in a remote capacity within the United States.Responsibilities:- Draft, review, and negotiate OSP construction contracts. Collaborate with legal teams to ensure contract terms and conditionscomply withproject specifications and legal standards.- Diligentlymonitorproject activities to ensure compliance with contractual obligations throughout the life of each contract.- Evaluate and process change orders. Assess impactstoproject budget,scheduleand scope.- Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, legalteamsand contractors to promptly address contractual issues. Manage and resolve any disputes that may arise.- Evaluate project status against the contract schedule. Issue contract notices andmonitorrecovery plans.- Work closely with contractors to ensure project progress aligns with schedule expectations. Actively manage schedules and production forecasts through project execution.- Manage complex regulatory/permitting issues such as NEPA, CPUC, Tribal Lands, etc.- Plan and manage project major materials including planning, ordering,receivingand dispersal.- Provide project-level and executive project reporting including regular updates to our key customers.- Maintainaccurateand organized records of all contract related documents,correspondenceand changes.- Manage budgets andaccuratespend forecasts throughout project execution. Proactively mitigate risks to stay within budget constraints.- Deliver project as-builts to the support teams in a timely manner to ensure route is protected and properly captured in inventory systems.- Evaluate project invoicing against progress metrics,identifyand resolve any anomalies or discrepancies.- Ensure projects are delivered on time, onbudgetand as per construction standards.Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree preferred - preferably in Engineering, Construction Management or other related technical field, or equivalent work experience. Business degree/acumen a plus.- Minimum of 7 years in the telecommunications industry with outside plant, fiber optics, telecommunication architectures, optical transport equipment, and project management experience is required.- Fiber optic cable splicing and testing knowledge using EXFO or VIAVI is a requirement.- Minimum of 5 years of contract and capital management experience, preferably with specific Long Haul OSP or other large project construction experience is required.- Familiarity with all types of outside plant construction methods and best practices.- Working knowledge of OSP construction standards, fiberspecificationsand optical network design principles.- Understanding ofdifferent contract types and payment terms (unit rate, fixed, etc.).- Ability to read and interpret construction documents is required.- Familiar with allfacetsof OSP project anagement including quoting,constructionand delivery.- Experience managing large capital projects includingwritingpurchase requisitions and receiving/reconciling invoices is required.- Experience with NTIA (or similar) program requirements such as Davis-Bacon,BABAand EA a plus.- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.- Demonstrated exceptionalproblem solvingskills.- Ability to communicate technical topics clearly and effectively with both internal and external customers.- Business minded and able tomaintaina commercial focus.- Proficient with Email, MS Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), G Suite (Sheets, Slides, etc.) and Google Earth.- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel(Pivot Tables/Formulas/vLookup) a plus.- Experience with Sitetracker or other project managementsoftwarea plus.Estimated Base Pay Range: $77,100 - $118,600 USD/annuallyThe base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan.
