GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.The pay range is not guaranteed compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as a discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.Join our team as a Field Service Technician (Beverage) and play a key role in delivering exceptional after-sales service and technical support for beverage and brewery systems. In this hands-on role, you will support customers across the full lifecycle of their equipment—from installation and commissioning to maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization.You will represent GEA at customer sites, ensuring high-quality service delivery, strong customer relationships, and reliable equipment performance. This position requires up to 75% travel and a valid driver’s license.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation, Commissioning & MaintenanceAssist with installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of beverage filling and liquid processing equipment (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), including blow moldersPerform planned and emergency maintenance on installed systems to ensure optimal performanceCustomer Service & Relationship ManagementDeliver professional, high-quality service while maintaining clear communication with customersBuild trust and foster long-term customer relationships by serving as a knowledgeable and dependable partnerAct as the primary on-site representative and “face” of the organizationTroubleshooting & Technical SupportDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair GEA equipment both onsite and remotelyProvide technical support for mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issuesIdentify root causes and implement effective corrective actionsTraining & SupportProvide basic operator training on equipment operation and preventive maintenanceSupport internal teams (Sales, Spare Parts, and Projects) with technical expertise and service-related inputContinuous Improvement & Opportunity IdentificationProactively identify service opportunities, including recommended spare parts, upgrades, and process improvementsConduct site audits and performance evaluations to optimize equipment efficiencyDocumentation & CommunicationPrepare detailed service documentation including service reports, inspection reports, and commissioning/start-up documentationAlign with customers before service work and review completed work, findings, and next stepsCoordinate with internal teams and assist with cost estimates and service planningSafety & ComplianceAdhere to all company safety policies, customer HSE standards, and OSHA regulationsMaintain a strong commitment to safe work practices at all timesAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties as assigned to support the service team and customer needsYour Profile / QualificationsRequired5+ years of field service experience supporting filling equipment and liquid processing systems (including blow molders)Strong understanding of piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), process flow diagrams, and production systemsProven experience servicing sanitary valves, pumps, heat exchangers, and related hygienic process equipmentStrong mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of beverage processing systems such as UHT, pasteurization, aseptic processing, deaeration, and heat exchangeFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations (GMP, PMO, 3-A, FDA)Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong customer focus, professionalism, and work ethicValid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 75% (primarily within the U.S. and Canada, with occasional international travel)PreferredExperience with aseptic systemsKnowledge of Rockwell/Allen-Bradley RSLogix 5000At GEA, we don’t just offer jobs, we offer opportunities to thrive, grow, and make an impact.#engineeringforthebetterPlease note: This position is based in the United States and does not offer visa or work sponsorship.
