This position supports both established production and new product introduction (NPI) jobs. Key Responsibilities + Perform complex setups and operate Manual VTLs and manual lathes + Make modifications and adjustments to ensure conformance to specifications + Verify dimensions using precision measuring tools (micrometers, depth gauges, height gauges, verniers) + Read and interpret blueprints and operation sheets + Apply GD&T knowledge in daily machining operations + Work with engineering regarding material conditions, tooling pressure, and positioning + Detect and report faulty operations or materials + Maintain clean and organized work areas (6S / Lean practices) + Follow all machine safety and guarding requirements + Meet production schedules and customer deadlines + Provide training to others as needed + Support continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications + 3u20135 years of aerospace machining experience required + Minimum 3 years setting up and operating Manual VTLs and manual lathes + Experience with machines such as Mazak, Mori-Seiki, and Leblond + Experience machining plasma coatings and K/E seals on rotating aircraft parts + Strong mathematical aptitude + Strong knowledge of GD&T + Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) + Willingness to learn basic CNC programming + Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word + Strong communication and problem-solving skills Education Requirements + High School Diploma or GED required Compliance & Safety This is a safety-sensitive position.
