Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description In this position, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, physical structures, and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, PLCs, and production machines. Responsibilities + Install, maintain, and repair machinery and mechanical equipment. + Visually inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards. + Listen for unusual sounds from machines to detect malfunctions. + Discuss operational variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose and repair machines. + Work with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems. + Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts. + Replace and lubricate gear boxes, motors, bearings, and shafts. + Start machines and test operations after repair. + Replace and repair water filtering systems. + Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. + Install and maintain production machines, overhead conveyor systems, and welding equipment. Essential Skills + 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience or a 2-year degree in electro-mechanical or industrial maintenance. + Mechanical skills, preventive maintenance, and electrical skills. + Experience with conveyors, robotics, troubleshooting, hydraulics, and industrial systems. + Leadership qualities and the ability to think independently. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Electrical experience is a plus but not necessarily required. + Robotic experience is a plus for robotic welding machines but not necessarily required. + Leadership experience is preferred for the second shift due to a smaller crew. Why Work Here? After 90 calendar days, employees join the union, and benefits begin on the first of the month following 60 days from their permanent hire date. Uniforms are provided and laundered weekly. Work Environment The first shift operates from 6 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday, and the second shift from 2 pm to 10 pm, Monday through Friday. The facility requires hands-on work with sheets of steel on the older side of the plant, while the north side is fully automated with overhead tracks constantly moving throughout. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Weyauwega, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
