Industrial Electrician

NOW Hiring Industrial Electrician (1st Shift) + $30+ an hour Job Description As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in an industrial setting. You will diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including faulty wiring, motors, sensors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Additionally, you will perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery, and ensure compliance with local electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations. Responsibilities + Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures. + Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including faulty wiring, motors, sensors, and PLCs. + Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery. + Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. + Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations. + Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve system performance and reduce downtime. + Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections. + Recommend and implement improvements for energy efficiency, reliability, and cost reduction. Essential Skills + 3 - 5+ years of industrial electrical on-the-job experience. + Experience with PLC troubleshooting. + Proficiency in VFDs, motor starters, control panels, and industrial sensors. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Journeyman's license or relevant certification preferred. + Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical maintenance. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position requires work onsite with shifts available Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm, or Wednesday through Saturday from 1pm to 11pm. All candidates will begin training on the 1st shift for 30-60 days. The work environment includes fast-paced workloads, loud noise levels, and exposure to Iowa's climate conditions, including heat and cold. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Waterloo, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $63000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
