Join the MercyOne Family We are looking to hire a Manager in the Referral Department As a Referral Manager at MercyOne, you will (Found on Position Purpose) Quick blurb about the role and then bullet points the day to day duties. Manages the day to day operations of the Clinic Referral Coordinators. Serves as the primary resource for referral issues and consults on referral processes. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of MercyOne. General Requirements: Responsible for day to day operations of department including schedules, timecards, monitoring OT, supplies, office moves u2022 Follows up with director as appropriate if pattern identified or procedural change is indicated. u2022 Familiar with regulatory requirements and assists with the preparation for various regulatory agencies. u2022 Communicates to director departmental updates and reports problems on an on-going basis. u2022 Offers suggestions to improve services and viable options to resolve problems. u2022 Assists with developing and maintaining referral policies and procedures. u2022 Communicates to staff all relevant information; holds periodic communication meetings, holds monthly department meetings. u2022 Educates staff to standards and guideline changes. Team Development. u2022 Selects competent staff at a level consistent with need, in a timely manner. u2022 Ensures new employees are oriented to department and job and that initial competency assessment is complete and documented. Maintains software application for the clinic enterprise u2022 Serves as liaison for Referral Tracking process and functions. u2022 Identifies and works thru IT for software issues/concerns. u2022 Periodically runs reports and/or has reports run to ensure maximum productivity and usage of software. u2022 Keeps current with software release. u2022 May attend in services/workshops/meetings regarding the software and related processes. u2022 Oversee EPIC referral management superusers Education and Experience: 5-7 Minimum of 5 yrs in field of study and 1 yr experience as Referral Coordinator Graduate of an accredited nursing or medical assistant program preferred.
