The Freight Audit Payment Analyst is responsible for reviewing, auditing, and processing freight invoices to ensure accurate payment to transportation carriers and logistics service providers. This role supports supply chain operations by identifying billing discrepancies, managing payment workflows, and maintaining vendor relationships. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills and have a passion for using data to drive business decisions. Key job responsibilities - Audit freight invoices: Review and audit freight invoices against contracted rates, shipment details, and agreed terms to identify billing errors, overcharges, and discrepancies - Identify billing discrepancies: Detect and document any inconsistencies or errors, such as incorrect rates, duplicate charges, or unauthorized accessorial fees. - Resolve billing issues: Work collaboratively with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), internal procurement teams, and accounts payable to investigate and resolve discrepancies. - Work with technology teams and payable teams to ensure compliance with payment terms, timely freight invoice payments and provide excellent carrier experience. - Optimize freight costs: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements by analyzing freight expenses and communicating with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs). - Maintain data accuracy: Ensure data integrity within freight audit systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and other relevant databases. - Generate reports: Create reports on freight audit findings, cost savings, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide valuable insights for decision-making. - Stay informed: Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in freight auditing and logistics to enhance performance. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
