You will find a fulfilling career at MSM Posting Number NONAC3691 Job Title Senior Research Assistant Position Title Senior Research Assistant Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary 59000 Department Comm Hlth/Prev Med-Ch/Pm Position Summary The Senior Research Assistant will support the design, execution, management, and evaluation of research projects at the Morehouse School of Medicine Prevention Research Center. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data while collaborating with research teams, faculty, and students. The Senior Research Assistant will also assist in the preparation of publications, reports, presentations, and grant proposals. The Senior Research Assistant will be responsible for scheduling and hosting meetings to identify research project evaluation needs, provide progress updates, and to communicate research or evaluation findings. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bacheloru2019s degree in public health or related health or social sciences field Experience: u00b7 4+ years of experience conducting quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method data analyses. u00b7 Experience in data collection, analysis, and report writing u00b7 Experience with data collection and statistical software (e.g., Qualtrics, REDcap, SPSS ) u00b7 Experience or strong interest in community-based research and evaluation u00b7 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications u00b7 Masteru2019s degree is preferred. u00b7 Relevant research certifications (e.g., CITI , HIPAA , etc.) are a plus. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in research software such as SPSS , R, SAS , or related. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Job Duties Description of Job Duty Research Support: u00b7 Assist in the design, execution, and management of research projects, ensuring alignment with study protocols. u00b7 Assist with developing data collection instruments. u00b7 Collect, process, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data. u00b7 Conduct statistical analysis and interpret experimental data using software such as SPSS , R, or SAS . u00b7 Collaborate with team members on the preparation of manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations for publication or conferences. Project Management: u00b7 Coordinate project timelines and ensure milestones are met. u00b7 Maintain detailed and organized records of experiments, data, and research activities. u00b7 Ensure compliance with institutional, federal, and ethical guidelines for research. u00b7 Support the research team with the implementation of study activities. u00b7 Assists in planning and scheduling research procedures. u00b7 Participates in recurring project meetings related to the assigned functions or projects. Grant and Funding Support: u00b7 Assist with the preparation and submission of grant proposals and reports. u00b7 Monitor budget expenditures and assist in managing project funds. Mentorship: u00b7 Provide guidance and training to junior research staff, students, and interns. u00b7 Coordinate research activities and ensure quality control of data collection and documentation. Administrative Duties: u00b7 Oversee the maintenance of laboratory equipment and research tools. u00b7 Assist with ordering supplies and managing inventory. u00b7 Collaborate with the department and institutional administration for regulatory submissions ( IRB , IACUC , etc.).
