Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. The Electrophysiology (EP) Device Clinic Nurse functions with a great deal of autonomy in the day-to-day operations of the Arrhythmia Center under the clinical supervision of a Cardiologist. The EP Device Clinic Nurse performs follow-up visits of pacemaker and Implantable Defibrillator patients. This includes device evaluation, data entry, documentation, billing, and triaging information to the appropriate follow-up clinician.
