Quality Engineer II

Position Overviewdormakaba is seeking a Quality Engineer II based in Lexington, KY. The Quality Engineer II is responsible for playing a critical role in ensuring product and process quality within the manufacturing environment by leading investigations, developing inspection and testing protocols, and driving continuous improvement projects.HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $85,000 - $95,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.What you will do- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities for complex quality issues, using structured problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Pareto analysis- Develop, implement, and continuously improve inspection and testing procedures to ensure product and process compliance with specifications, standards, and customer requirements- Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, drive improvement recommendations, and monitor effectiveness of implemented solutions- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material and component quality, addressing issues and supporting corrective actions as neededWhat we require- 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, or engineering role- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field) or an equivalent technical degree- Must be available to travel a few times per year to Indy (approx. 6)- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel, or similar quality software)What we prefer- Master's degree in engineering or a related field- ASQ CQE certification or Six Sigma Green Belt- Experience with supplier quality management and auditing- Knowledge of ISO 9001, or other relevant quality management systems- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesWhat we offer- Taking Care of our Employees on Day One with Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance coverage options.
