Facility: Administrative Regional Training Cntr Shift: Shift 1 Status: Per Diem FTE: 0.100000 Bargaining Unit: ACE Associates Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: No Work Schedule: Varied with Weekend and Holiday Rotation Hours: 8.00 - 16:00 Summary: Under the direction of the Manager, Telechaplaincy, the Pastoral Minister ministers to clients, residents, and/or patients and families in regard to religious/spiritual beliefs using a telecommunication device. As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, the Pastoral Minister provides spiritual and emotional support for clients/residents/patients, families, and staff within the context of illness, suffering, loss, and death. Pastoral Ministers receive referrals, completes Spiritual Assessments and documentation, as well as provide on-going ministry across the ambulatory care footprint of Catholic Health/Physician Enterprise. Responsibilities: EDUCATION + Masteru2019s Degree in Pastoral Ministry or related field required + Two (2) units of Clinical Pastoral Education, required + Ecclesiastical Endorsements u2013 + Must be in good standing to serve as a pastoral minister according to the code of ethics for spiritual care professionals and the standards of practice for professional chaplains. Should the pastoral minister characterize or hold themselves out to be a member of any religious clergy, he or she must be held as a member in good standing of same religious clergy or order at all times while employed at Catholic Health. + Completion of four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) within one (1) year required + Chaplain certification by professional national certifying agency for chaplaincy + Certification obtained within two (2) years after completion of CPE required EXPERIENCE + Must be active in a faith community with pastoral experience marked by demonstrated grasp of both the complexity of health care as a business and the unique moral, ethical and social expectations placed on the health care provider who claims a Catholic identity + Well-formed in Catholic tradition, knowledge of Catholic theology and Catholic social teaching + At least ten (10) years of experience in one or more of the following are recommended: health care, education, mission or spiritual care KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY + High level of interpersonal, facilitative and communication skills + Strong theological reflection skills + Strong conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills + Commitment to Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services + Exhibits strong pastoral identity + Strong emotional and spiritual maturity + Ability to maintain professional and personal confidentiality and HIPAA regulations + Flexibility in work hours, programs and services + Ability to work well as part of an interdisciplinary team + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Ability to utilize computer for documentation, communication and preparation of material for ministry + Presentation and teaching skills + Ability to lead and coordinate prayer/Communion services + Ability to provide group facilitation and critical incident stress management + Knowledge of Advance Directives policy and ability to facilitate discussion with participant/family
