Cardiac Ultrasonographer

The Echocardiography Department Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic echocardiograms. The technologist obtains skillful echocardiographic views. The technologist is able to interpret and analyze information viewed during the exam. The technologist assists the cardiologist with the interpretation and documentation of each examination. Responsible for patient care of adolescent to adults. Job Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent required. Graduate of a diagnostic medical sonography program accredited by the AMA Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) or a registered diagnostic cardiac sonographer (RDCS). Familiar with cardiac anatomy, physiology and hemodynamics. Good oral and written communication skills are required. Typing and computer skills desirable. Registered diagnostic medical sonographer credentials (RDCS) within 2 years.
