Medical Lab Scientist

Healthier Communities. Healthiest Lives. Together. JOB DESCRIPTION:Performs, calculates, reviews and reports laboratory diagnostic tests. Basic laboratory skills, maintenance, QC, and troubleshooting abilities. Understand the clinical significance of the testing performed. Responsibilities for teaching, training, correction of procedural/Instrument issues.EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in biological science or chemistry or associate's degree acceptable (with 5 years' experience). Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist certified, or certificate qualified in the field. If certificate qualified, certification to occur within 1 year of hire date, exception or length of time can be modified by Administrative Director. (Certification tracked by department.)EXPERIENCE:Basic laboratory skills. QC, maintenance. Good communication skills.SCHEDULE:This is a night shift from Tuesday - Friday, 9:00 pm to 7:00 amSHIFT DIFFERENTIALS:Evening: $3.00, Night: $5.00, Weekend: $2.00SIGN ON BONUS:For eligible candidates, there is a sign on bonus of $5,000 (under 3 years' experience) and $7,500 for 3 or more years of experience.
