Our tightly-knit rehabilitation team is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist with one year or more of experience post-Clinical Fellowship Year. Ideal candidates will be comfortable functioning independently as the sole Outpatient SLP for the hospital.The Speech Language Pathologist provides speech language pathology services, with services to include screening and evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, treatment re-assessment and revision, patient/client reevaluation, discharge planning, and documentation in a variety of settings. Explains evaluation findings and treatmentplantopatientand family and incorporatespatientand family in the goals setting.Demonstratesproficiencyin implementation of treatment protocols based upon evaluation findings, the patient's presentation, and the evolving health care environment.Consultswith other healthcare professionals asindicated. Recognizes and documents changes in patient's condition requiring modification of the plan of care and/or the need for medical/rehabilitation pletesappropriate dischargeplanning and follow-up care. Accurately andtimelydocuments and charges for patient care activitiesconsideringour evolving health care environment, painting a clear picture of the patient's course of care including focusedinitialevaluation/plan of care thatestablishesbaseline and goals, daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluation.Demonstrates effective time management and meets productivity expectations. Managesan accurateschedule. Demonstrates a professional commitment toprovidefrictionless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and actions/behaviors that display empathy in our patient consumer driven environment.Takes initiative in pursuing and directing continuing education for professional growth and competency for self and organization. Serves as a clinical instructor to assign students.Assistswith orientation and mentoring ofnew staff, students, and volunteers.Qualifications:Master’s degreeor Doctoral degreefroman accredited school ofSpeech pletion of clinical fellowship year (CFY). One year of additional experience is preferred.Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginiarequiredasdeemednecessary for your specific location(s).Basic Life Support (BLS).ASHA (American Speech Language Hearing Association)Certificate of Clinical Competence. This position has a hiring range of : USD $74,214.00 - USD $134,596.00 /Yr.
