Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required from last 12 months. • Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the past 3 years. • Experience with Epic is required from any number of months. • 12 months of acute care experience within the past 12 months.• Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months Requirements: • Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted. • Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted. • 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health. • 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Required Skills/Experience: Experience working in a large hospital, 200+ beds. Strong MS experience Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with neuro patients preferred, but not required. Shift & Scheduling: 12 hrs, every other weekend and every other holiday. The travelers can self schedule however they are only guaranteed to have the days off that are listed on their contract and during balance may be moved off a shift that they self-scheduled to balance the unit. If staff do need a specific day off and we can’t support it as the switch would off balance our unit we ask them to find someone to trade with like we do our badge staff. There is usually high success in finding someone to switch with. When we balance the schedule we are very mindful that staff aren’t flipping back and forth from days to nights frequently.
