Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our manufacturing company. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and skill development. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales tax and general accounting functions, including working with the general ledger and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with regulations. u2022 Manage sales tax processes, including calculations and filings. u2022 Record and reconcile journal entries in the general ledger. u2022 Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and documentation. u2022 Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records. u2022 Support audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations. u2022 Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data. u2022 Utilize accounting software, including JD Edwards or comparable systems, for efficient processing. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in preparing journal entries and working with the general ledger. u2022 Experience in account reconciliation and financial statement preparation. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software such as JD Edwards or similar systems. u2022 Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. u2022 Entry-level candidates with relevant skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
