Job Title: Senior Process Improvement Engineer Industry: Medical Device Manufacturing Location: Wheeling, IL Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: $60u2013$80/hr (Based on Experience) Position Summary Kelly Engineering is seeking a Senior Process Improvement Engineer to support a well-established FDA-regulated medical device manufacturing site in Wheeling, IL. This role focuses on hands-on process optimization, quality improvement, and operational efficiency within a Class II / 510(k) environment. The engineer will lead continuous improvement initiatives, partner cross-functionally, and support regulatory compliance in a mature production setting. Key Responsibilities u2022 Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste u2022 Lead Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives u2022 Conduct root cause analysis, CAPA, and FMEA activities u2022 Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams u2022 Support tech transfer and change control initiatives u2022 Optimize layouts, workflows, and resource utilization u2022 Support FDA, QSR, and ISO 13485 audits Required Qualifications u2022 7u201312 years of experience in FDA-regulated medical device manufacturing u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering preferred u2022 Demonstrated hands-on process improvement experience u2022 Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, CI, and quality tools u2022 Experience working with Class II / 510(k) products u2022 Ability to lead projects independently and cross-functionally u2022 Strong communication and leadership skills Preferred Experience u2022 Catheters, guidewires, vascular access, or biopsy devices u2022 Mature manufacturing environments Additional Notes u2022 Contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for direct hire u2022 Candidates must have direct medical device manufacturing experience u2022 Equal Opportunity Employer As part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
