CT Technologist

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Performs professional duties related to a variety of radiographic technical procedures and CT Scan procedures using ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis and therapy. Hours/ Schedule: + Per Diem What you will need: + Graduate of an approved school of Radiographic Technology + Minimum of one (1) year progressive work experience in modality. + Current ARRT, RT (R) without restriction and CR registered within 1 year. + Current BLS certification. What you will do: + Perform CT Scans of all types including head, body and extremity scans. + Perform interventional CT scans for biopsies or various drainage procedures. + Positions patient carefully and accurately to obtain requested examination. + Select correct x-ray technical factor combinations or CT Scan factors to procedure high quality images. + Provides appropriate radiation shielding and collimation to adhere to ALARA principles. + Places orders and charges in the hospital information computer as needed.
