Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Perioperative Instrument Technician u2013 Full-Time Location: Trinity Health Oakland Hospital, Pontiac, MI Schedule: Full-Time/Day Shift About the Role: Join our Perioperative Services team as a Perioperative Instrument Technician. In this vital role, youu2019ll support surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment. Youu2019ll also assist with patient transport and positioning, and collaborate closely with nurses, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities: + Assemble and prepare surgical instruments and supplies for procedures. + Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical equipment. + Assist in operating rooms with retractor holding and patient positioning. + Transport patients safely and maintain confidentiality. + Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed. Qualifications: + High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree in healthcare or OR experience preferred. + BCLS certification required. + Minimum 6 months experience in patient care within an invasive/minor procedure environment. + Knowledge of aseptic technique and standard precautions. + Ability to stand/walk for most of the shift and lift up to 100 lbs. + Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
