FTE: 0.001000 Optional Part-timeShift: Shift 2 Job Summary: The Licensed Athletic Trainer Pool providescomprehensive athletic health care in accordance with an evaluation andtreatment protocol that is established by the athletic trainer andapproved by the consulting physician. The athletic training servicesinclude: injury or illness prevention programs; evaluation, management,treatment and rehabilitation of injuries or illness sustained duringphysical activity; and giving emergency care or first aid for an injuryor illness sustained while participating in physical activity. TheLicensed Athletic Trainer Pool participates in other departmentactivities designed to enhance patient/athlete care and programs. Otherduties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Relevant outreach athletictrainer experience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Bachelor's orMaster's degree from an accredited Athletic Training program or arelated field is required. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: State of Wisconsinlicensure as an Athletic Trainer is required. Certification as anAthletic Trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC) is required.American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the HealthcareProvider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 daysof hire.
