Water Treatment Plant Operator

Our client, a leader in water management and infrastructure, is seeking a Water Treatment Plant Operator to join their team. As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you will be part of the operations team supporting water treatment and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Water Treatment Plant Operator Location: Clinton Township, NJ Pay Range: $38/hr-$40/hr Parking: Free parking onsite Shift: M-F, 7am-3:30pm What's the Job? + Operate and maintain equipment within a team environment to ensure optimal water treatment processes. + Monitor and inspect equipment, execute maintenance programs, and improve mechanical uptime. + Maintain detailed logs of operations, safety activities, and equipment performance. + Oversee safety protocols, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. + Manage inventory, prepare purchase requests, and oversee contractor activities within the plant. What's Needed? + Minimum of an N-1 water license issued by the State of New Jersey. + High school diploma or equivalent. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and stand for extended periods. + Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. + Strong attention to safety, detail, and teamwork skills.
