This is a position where youu2019ll take on a supervisory role operating and maintaining the CW plant. Youu2019ll work with project leadership and lead onsite operations and maintenance staff supervising daily Operation & Maintenance (O&M) activities as well as work with the area manager to provide superior client support. You will be onsite site project leader responsible for organizing and directing the 24/7- 365 day operations and maintenance of the plant. Youu2019ll also analyze operational process control procedures, maintenance procedures, and institute changes when necessary to optimize plant operations, and be responsible for preparing accurate operational records and reports.Bring your team-focus, adaptability, and commitment to excellence, and weu2019ll help you grow what drives you - and deliver the worldu2019s most challenging Operations Management projects, together.#ourjacobs #bia #omfs #challengeacceptedEssential Duties and Responsibilities:u2022 Work onsite at clientu2019s industrial chilled water facility, provide Project Management services and support to our client.u2022 Provide excellent written and verbal communication to all project stakeholders to keep everyone informed of project status, issues, expectations, and goals.u2022 Work effectively in a team structure with all levels of the organization.u2022 Direct business and technical operations for the project, ensuring quality performance, coordinating project deliverables, and sponsoring technical reviews.u2022 Develop and manage scope of work, budgets, and schedules, including coordinating subcontractors and internal support for projects. Identify situations that may cause project to exceed scope or budget and work with stakeholders to address those issues.u2022 Maintain project documentation, including correspondence and submittals, in accordance with contract requirements.u2022 Identify and evaluate risk that may impact the project.u2022 Be diligent on identifying and correcting safety concerns. Both Jacobs and the client have very high standards for safety programs.u2022 Cover operator shifts as needed to maintain proper plant coverage. u2022 High School Diploma or equivalent, and advanced experience in the operation and maintenance of a chillers, pumps, air compressors, utility systems, electrical breakers and switch gear and industrial refrigeration equipment.u2022 Ability to operate SCADA systems and other computerized equipment.u2022 Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and project related software toolsu2022 Valid driveru2019s license with no major infractionsu2022 Two years of experience in any of the following: utility mechanic, refrigeration mechanic / technician, plant operator (power, water, or other utility).u2022 Experience using SAP or equivalent computerized maintenance system.u2022 EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.u2022 Trane, McQuay, or Frick or other chiller maintenance experienceu2022 Experience working in a team environment as a leaderu2022 Ability to coach and train operation and maintenance teamsIdeally, You'll Also Have:u2022 Excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong technical problem-solving skills.u2022 Capable of working independently and maintaining an orderly schedule.u2022 District energy operations and maintenance experience.u2022 Understanding of the technical aspects of the facility to be managed.u2022 Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills.u2022 Demonstrate excellent relations with the client, vendors/contractors, customer and regulatory agencies.u2022 Experience developing and working within an approved budget. Specifically tracking costs, adjusting activities to stay on budget, and optimizing labor and materials.u2022 Proficient with financial budgeting and reports, specifically experience preparing operational reports for both internal and external clients.u2022 Provide presentations to coworkers and client meetings.u2022 Coordinate or support daily work activities for various departments.u2022 Drive safe work practices and review operations for safety improvements.u2022 Develop operator / maintainer daily, weekly, monthly work schedules.Working Conditions:Safety is a core value at Jacobs.
