Strategic Purchasing Analyst II - Design to Print

Job Description SMS is seeking a highly motivated Sourcing Specialist to join our team and drive operational efficiencies and cost savings. This role will lead initiatives supporting SMS programs in Direct Procurement. The Strategic Purchasing Analyst will ensure adherence to SMS procurement policies, minimize risk, and guarantee that software and hardware are procured through appropriate channels. This position is category-specific, focused fab to print builds, and will also leverage general strategic sourcing knowledge to apply best practices across key areas of spend. The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management. The Integrated Supply Chain team has a direct impact on program success, acting as a critical chain that links the end-to-end material flow together. What You ll Do: + Implement supply chain strategies to optimize procurement processes and ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and supplies. + Communicate effectively with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of supply chain strategies. + Ensure purchase orders are processed accurately and timely. + Execute RFx processes in alignment with strategic sourcing guidelines. + Identify and deliver savings opportunities. + Negotiate prices for materials and delivery from suppliers. + Develop, monitor, and maintain savings tracking methods and processes. + Identify procurement compliance requirements and obtain necessary approvals. + Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain solution. + Monitor performance of suppliers and assess their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements. + Collaborate with suppliers to identify innovative solutions and improvements. + Utilize soft skills such as: + Be detail-oriented and organized. + Work effectively under pressure. + Have excellent communication. + Have strong initiative, be a self-starter. + Use problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. + Strategic sourcing. + Utilize technical skills such as: + Knowledge of supply chain management and fab to print procurements. + Supplier Quality. + Proficiency in ERP systems. + Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. + Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. + Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. Working Conditions: + Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor. Required Education, Experience, & Skills + Bachelor s degree plus 2 or more years of related experience. + Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. + Ability to effectively relate with others and cooperate as a team member. + Ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization, using excellent interpersonal organizational and communication skills. #LI-SW2 A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $67406 - $114590 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
