Delivers nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and is accountable for patient care administered during the shift. Provides patient care to patients including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. _u200b_ Essential Key Job Responsibilities + u200bu200bPerforms various patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Cares for patients from infant to geriatric based on the scope of the unit. + u200bMaintains knowledge of equipment set-up and maintenance. + u200bMust be able to visibly assess patientu2019s safety needs. Always works with safety as their first priority. + u200bWorks rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. May be required to float to other areas if needed. Takes call as defined by hospital policy. + u200bAssists with unit cleaning and outdated product removal. + u200bPasses food trays and assists patients who need help with feeding and tray set up. + u200bTransports patients using the wheelchair or gurney. + u200bKeeps patient rooms stocked with supplies. + u200bUses AIDET. 10-5 rule and makes consumer experience a priority. + u200bAssists other staff as requested and continually looks for opportunities to help co-workers in the care of patients. + u200bOther duties as assigned by management.u200b Required Education u2013 Staff Positions + High school diploma or equivalent (GED). + Completion of a 75-hour nurse aide certification program or successful completion of one quarter of nursing fundamentals coursework. + Minimum age requirement: 18 years. Required Licensure and Certifications + Basic Life Support (BLS): Must be completed within three (3) months of hire. + Accepted certification: _American Heart Association u2013 Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers_ . + Mandatory Reporter Training: Must be completed within three (3) months of hire.
