When you join us youu2019ll have the opportunity to work on transportation projects that focus on bridges and other transportation structure designs. You will serve in a technical role and/or task lead on bridge design projects and perform complex structural analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects on local and national projects. Weu2019ll look for your knowledge and experience in analysis as well as the development of design, plan preparation, specifications, and reports. Inspection may be required on occasion.#LM1236 u2022 Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineeringu2022 Relevant previous professional experience in bridge design and inspection, preferably 6-10 yearsu2022 Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in IA or ability to obtain within 6 monthsu2022 Solid understanding of standard engineering practices, techniques, and applicable Codes.u2022 Ability to produce design documentation/calculationsu2022 Proficiency in bridge design software, such as LEAP Concrete/Bridge, AASHTOWare BrR, Larsa 4D, MIDAS Civil, and/or MDXu2022 Working knowledge of CAD systems, specifically Bentley MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer or Bentley OpenBridge Modeler.u2022 A thorough understanding of and practical experience applying the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications to transportation structures.Ideally youu2019ll also have:u2022 Master of Science in Civil/Structural Engineeringu2022 Demonstrated experience on various types of bridges, including both concrete and structural steel bridge typesu2022 Experience in both new bridge design as well as inspection, maintenance, and repairu2022 Experience working on IA DOT projectsu2022 Demonstrated work in IL, MN, MO, and WIu2022 Active involvement in local engineering societies.Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
