Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Milford, Connecticut. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities: u2022 Handle month-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries. u2022 Reconcile intercompany balances accurately and investigate any discrepancies. u2022 Calculate, confirm, and process intercompany settlements in a timely manner. u2022 Create detailed account reconciliations and provide thorough analysis. u2022 Produce ad hoc reports and address inquiries from management and auditors. u2022 Manage daily cash reporting and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded. u2022 Oversee daily wire transfers and ensure timely vendor and customer refunds setup. u2022 Prepare and distribute daily accounts receivable aging reports and AR scorecards. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting is mandatory. u2022 A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, with preference for candidates with 5+ years. u2022 Proficiency in Oracle systems is highly desirable. u2022 Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with automated clearing house (ACH) processes. u2022 Strong knowledge of account coding and invoice processing. u2022 Experience with check runs and handling vendor payments. u2022 Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
