Here, you will work alongside a passionate and dedicated team, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.As a Lead Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient Neurology at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, you will serve as a key operational and leadership resource supporting the Neurology Expansion in the new Neurological Building. Working primarily within the inpatient Neurology pharmacy, this role delegates and directs pharmacy technician workflow, oversees shift responsibilities, quality control, training and project-based initiatives, and ensures the safe, timely preparation and distribution of medications for complex, high-acuity neurology patients. Embedded within a large academic medical center with 1,400+ inpatient beds, you will collaborate closely with clinical pharmacists, pharmacy leadership, physicians, nurses and support staff while maintaining cross-training across inpatient operations to ensure staffing flexibility, continuity of care, and a high-performing, patient-centered pharmacy team.A caregiver in this role will work the day shift and rotate evenings every 4 weeks and every 4th weekend. On-call expectations are 4-5 shifts per year. A caregiver who excels in this role will:Interact with and review work of caregivers, providing feedback to ensure maximized output and efficiency.Create and present quality control reports to managementregardingteam performance and throughput.Ensure caregivers are adequately trained and oriented to the work area.Provideonsidere-training.Serve as a technical resource.Work in staffcapacityandpossessthe ability to perform alltechnicianfunctions.Help with mediafilltesting.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:A high school diploma or GEDCertified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) verified through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. You must register as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy within 6 months of hireUpon hire, it is required to hold an active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee.Caregivers with active Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Registered Pharmacy Technician registrations are required to update their registration to a Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the OBOP within 6 months.Two years of experience as a pharmacy technician within the assigned relevant practice areaMust be detail oriented and have the ability to identify and develop solutions applying appropriate pharmacy standards and policies.Must be able to educate/train others including how to plan and direct their effortsPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training programPrior IV compounding experience.Physical Requirements: Typical physician demands include the ability to perform functions of the job while standing, reaching, stretching, and manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions of the job.Ability to lift up to 20lbs. while walking, stooping, bending and reaching; ability to transport up to 250 lbs.Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $19.25Maximum hourly: $28.00The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
