Here, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support andappreciationand build a rewarding career.Lorain Family Health & Surgery Center’s Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) offers advanced outpatient surgery that allows patients to return home soon after their procedure without the need for overnight stays.This is a full-time role. A caregiver in this positionworks7:00am to 3:30pm or 7:30am to 4:00pm.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Provide clinical nursinginthe Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).Assess patient care needs, plan the delivery ofcareand process patients through the ASC.Direct other caregivers in providing patient care.Assume charge responsibilities, resolveproblemsand report variances.Develop educational materials and provide health education to patients and families.Maintain nursing competencies.Participate in preparing staff development programs.Identify self-learning needs, establishgoalsand evaluate attainment of goals.Demonstrate respect for the cultural and social differences that exist among people.Maintain confidentiality of informationregardingpatients,familiesand caregivers.Demonstrate a positive,concernedand sensitive response in the workplace and contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate of an approved school of nursingCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)One year of clinical experience as an RN in a perioperative or critical caresettingOR three years as a Surgical TechnicianCirculating experience.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or the American Red CrossAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or the American Red Crossor willing to obtain within six months of hireIf caring for a pediatric population: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or the American Red CrossCurrentdemonstratedclinicalproficiencyPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor ofscienceinnursing(BSN)Prior ambulatory RN experienceScrub experience.Physical Requirements: Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $31.50Maximum hourly: $49.90The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
