Job Summary and Qualifications Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill patient with Congenital Heart Disease and/or Surgery. Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement. Maintain high-quality age specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population. Support the mission, vision and values of the organization. What qualifications you will need: + Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing + BSN Required within 24 months of hire into RN position + Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date + Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license is required + CCRN preferred + Congenital Heart Experience and/or high-acuity PICU experience is preferred + Minimum of 1 year PICU or CHSU RN experience Benefits Medical City Dallas, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
