About theJob The role ofTeam Lead, Accounting is a highly collaborative and influential role atBrightly Software. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamictechnology environment where new initiatives and consistent learning defineeach day. We are looking for an accounting expert who prioritizes relationshipbuilding and is versed in financial reporting and technical accounting,including the preparation of (audited) statutory financial statements forsingle entities. This is aglobal role and the successful candidate will have a history of processimprovements and hands-on technical expertise with financial reporting within alarge global entity. This candidate will have a passion for coaching and forlearning in an evolving environment. The Team Lead, Accounting will report tothe Senior Manager, Accounting and be a key leader on the accounting team withdirect exposure to executive leadership. This role requires interaction withexternal auditors as well as with internal finance and legal departments. What youwill do + Manage the preparation of financialstatements for local statutory reporting. + Manage external audits, includingcoordinating timing and delivery of support directly with auditors. + Conduct technical accountingresearch pertaining to new business initiatives including integrationwithin Siemens. + Implement international accountingstandards, including internal control considerations for new accountingstandards and unusual transactions or agreements. + Prepare journal entries forsignificant accounting transactions and provide guidance to operationalfinance teams to ensure transactions are properly accounted. + Continuously improve the globalaccounting processes and procedures by identifying areas to streamline,automate and refine processes. + Provide training on technicaltopics and process improvements within the global business. + Lead month-end close activitiesincluding review of manual entries and account reconciliations. + Mentor and develop members on theteam globally to enable achievement of goals and continuous improvementwhile contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture withhighest integrity and sense of ownership. + Strengthen internal controls,enhance processes to accelerate close activities while maintainingaccuracy and integrity in financial reporting. + Liaising with management andadvising as needed to ensure that executives are knowledgeable about thefinancial status of the company. What youneed + 3-5 years of public accountingexperience + 1-3 years of people managementexperience and/or experience providing instruction and guidance to teammembers + CPA required + Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting orclosely related field + Excellent understanding of U.S.GAAP, FASB codification, IFRS and technical accounting research + Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills + Knowledge of internal controlsframework + Must be able to excel in afast-paced, goal oriented and driven environment What makesyou a Standout + Owns statutory reporting &audits: Leadsaudited statutory financial statements and serves as primary auditorcontact. + Strong technical accounting: Deep GAAP/IFRS expertise withhands-on research for complex transactions and integrations. + Drives close, controls, andefficiency: Improvesmonth-end close speed, accuracy, and internal controls through processoptimization. + People-focused leader: CPA who coaches global teamsand clearly advises executives and crossu2011functional partners.
