Job Description u2022 Provide technical and administrative direction related to the established Company, Material Management Plan and/or project policies and procedures u2022 Perform periodic formal and documented functional reviews and audits of project Material Management execution u2022 Prepare and present Material Management-related indoctrination and training sessions to department or project personnel u2022 Prepare and issue relevant Material Management reports u2022 Responsible for the implementation, management, and monitoring of the Material Management Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to meet project requirements and schedule u2022 Review, analyze, and negotiate Terms and Conditions, based on Prime Contract flow downs u2022 Advocate the use of the Material Management knowledge management portals and communities u2022 Maintain effective client relationships through client service excellence in execution u2022 Prepare written or oral presentation materials in support of regional or business line proposal activities u2022 Review and action planning reports to appropriate persons for follow-up to support Fabrication or Construction u2022 Maintain knowledge of safety policies and procedures and performs assigned duties in a safe manner and, if supervising others, has responsibility for their safety and ensures that they comply with established safety policies and procedures and use safe work habits u2022 Typically manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedback Basic Job Requirements u2022 Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (14) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (18) years if non-degreed u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders u2022 Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job u2022 Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines u2022 Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner Other Job Requirements Material Management u2022 Drive and deliver strategies to the corporation and projects through the use of the Commercial Strategies group u2022 Ensure that the Material Management team has access to the project Baseline, understands and aligns to the project Baseline, and executes and delivers to the project Baseline u2022 Understand the prime contract and the integration of flow down clauses to protect Fluor u2022 Develop man-hour estimates and understands the basic concept of trending hours Purchasing u2022 Review the project scope of work and the prime contract to determine the Material Management requirements and flow downs to project procurement documents, plans, and procedures; issue flow down requirements to the Material Management team u2022 Manage the execution of all procurement activities on the project in compliance with the project Baseline and procedures, plans, budgets, and schedules u2022 Negotiate and/or provide assistance in negotiation of large to complex equipment and bulk material packages to obtain best value for the Project Preferred Qualifications u2022 Experience in EPCM industry with capital projects u2022 Lump Sum and Module Fabrication experience preferred u2022 Experience with Fluor processes, procedures and systems u2022 Experience in dealing with global vendors (outside US) u2022 Ability to communicate fluently in English (read, write, and speak) u2022 Applicable professional certification(s) or license(s) u2022 Primary experience is in the area of material management u2022 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills u2022 Excellent computer literacy and skills u2022 Excellent leadership and decision-making skills We are an equal opportunity employer.
