FTE: 0.400000 Standard Hours: 16.00 Shift: Shift 3 Shift Details:2300-0730 Holidays: Rotating Weekends: Every other, depending on needsof unit Job Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), under thedirection and supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides delegated ageappropriate care in a culturally and ethnically sensitive manner. TheCNA assists patients with the tasks outlined in their clinicalcompetency assessment related to basic nursing skills, personal careskills and basic restorative services. The CNA practices and performswhat was taught during their CNA training and certification or learnedduring basic nursing courses at an accredited school for professionalnurses. The CNA may be asked to provide continuous safety observation.This job reports to the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager of theassigned unit and the RNs on duty on each assigned shift. Other dutiesas assigned. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent ispreferred. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: State of Wisconsin Nursing AssistantCertification is required, otherwise must be currently enrolled in anursing program and able to provide documentation from an accreditedschool for professional nurses indicating successful completion of thebasic nursing course which encompass all of the criteria noted by theState of Wisconsin administrative code and a minimum experience of oneacute care medical/surgical clinical rotation. American HeartAssociation (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS)or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
