Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: MercyOne Des Moines is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join the Residency Faculty. Experience teaching in a Residency or Medical Student setting is required. Faculty member will provide clinical services and resident supervision in inpatient, outpatient, as well as OB settings. Mercy offers a competitive base salary, National Health Service Corps loan eligibility, and 403B. The MercyOne Des Moines Family Medicine residency is a dynamic program offering ambulatory and inpatient training, including obstetrics, in a variety of settings. MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is a busy tertiary health care system in Des Moines, Iowa, that offers a wealth of experience for our residents. MercyOne Des Moines partners with Primary Health Care (PHC) for our Continuity Clinic. PHC is a federally Qualified Health Care Center serving the underserved and culturally diverse populations in Des Moines. The program is distinguished by providing a wealth of clinical experiences and a broad scope of practice training that prepares graduates to work in a variety of settings. Training is further enhanced by weekly educational half-day didactics and workshops covering a diverse range of topics. MercyOne Central Iowa traces its roots to 1893 and it is certain the Sisters of Mercy would not believe who we are today.
