Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team. This individual will support a building or a facility by doing things like changing light bulbs, cleaning spills, emptying trash and light mechanical maintenance. They will also do regular housekeeping to keep areas clean and safe. The Maintenance Technician will report safety hazards and larger maintenance problems to the customer. The Maintenance Technician must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned. Ideal candidates will possess a positive, can-do attitude and understand the importance of building strong client partnerships through excellent communication. We are looking for someone who adapts quickly to change and is able to provide win-win solutions for both the client and ABM. We have multiple positions in multiple atlanta locations u00b7 Repair and maintenance of restroom and breakroom plumbing fixtures. u00b7 Clearing drains by means of plunger and hand-held auger. u00b7 General labor, such as carrying, stacking, organizing materials used in and around the job site. u00b7 Debris and trash removal not part of janitorial contract or scope of work. u00b7 Repairs and cleaning of HVAC registers, radiators return grills. u00b7 Minor repairs of furniture. u00b7 Maintaining and/or replacing door hardware. u00b7 Repair / replacement of venetian blinds. u00b7 Maintenance painting in mechanical and electrical rooms. u00b7 Touch up painting in building common areas. u00b7 Touch up painting in tenant spaces when authorized by property management. u00b7 General cleaning in mechanical spaces. u00b7 General cleaning of exterior entry spaces using vacuum, mop, broom, steam cleaner / high pressure sprayer, and other types of cleaning devices or equipment. u00b7 Cleaning and painting of non-operating mechanical equipment which has been shut down, locked out and tagged by a Journeyman Engineer in accordance with ABM Lockout / Tagout Program. u00b7 Miscellaneous handyman work requiring the limited use of hand tools. u00b7 Cleaning roof drains, air vents, registers and radiators. u00b7 Replacing lamps and cleaning light fixtures. u00b7 Ballast replacement per ABM Lockout / Tagout polices. u00b7 Replacing ceiling tiles. u00b7 Floor tile replacement. u00b7 Replacing air filters. u00b7 Cleaning of engineering shop areas. u00b7 Replacing fire extinguishers. u00b7 Hanging framed objects not requiring the use of power tools other than cordless drill u00b7 Complies with client and internal ABM processes and policies u00b7 Perform other duties as assigned Job duties may be modified at any time Minimum Requirements Experience in an office facilities environment is desired Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to adjust work schedule as needed to support the operation Proficient in Microsoft Office Must have working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations Must maintain a valid State issued driveru2019s license Previous Maintenance experience desired
