OVERVIEW The Entry Level Data Engineer supports the integration and management of data systems across global manufacturing operations. This early-career role is ideal for engineers passionate about leveraging data to improve processes and drive efficiency. Working closely with the Senior Data Engineer, the position provides hands-on experience with SCADA systems, Unified Namespace (UNS) architecture, SAP integration, and manufacturing analytics. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field. u2022 Strong interest in manufacturing processes and data analytics. u2022 Familiarity with databases (SQL), programming language (Python), analytics tools (Power BI, SSRS). u2022 Understanding of data governance concepts is desirable. u2022 Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environment. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE u2022 Experience or familiarity with Ignition SCADA platform. u2022 Exposure to Unified Namespace (UNS) and ISA-95 data modeling. u2022 Knowledge of industrial connectivity protocols (MQTT, OPC UA). u2022 Instrumentation and manufacturing process knowledge. u2022 Experience with advanced manufacturing analytics tools, such as Seeq. CORE RESPOSIBILITES u2022 Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting SCADA and related data systems. u2022 Support data integration between SAP, SCADA, LIMS, and other plant systems. u2022 Contribute to the development and organization of a Unified Namespace (UNS) for real-time data accessibility. u2022 Validate and monitor data accuracy for operational reporting and analytics. u2022 Collaborate with operations and IT teams to implement data-driven improvements. u2022 Support and advocate for the usage of manufacturing analytics platforms. u2022 Learn and apply basic analytics techniques to identify trends and opportunities for optimization. DEVELOPMENTAL OPPORTUNITIES u2022 Exposure to data governance principles and best practices for industrial data management. u2022 Training in AI/ML concepts for future process optimization projects. u2022 Hands-on experience with manufacturing data architecture and UNS implementation. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS u2022 5 - 10% travel (North America) LOCATION OF ROLE u2022 Baltimore, Chalmette, Crockett, or possibly remote with required travel to Group locations SALARY RANGE: u2022 $62,000 - $155,500 We are an equal opportunity employer.
