MIDUS investigateshow biological, psychological, and socioeconomic factors influencemental and physical health across the lifespan. This position is part ofthe MIDUS Biological Core, which manages the collection, shipment, andanalysis of human biological samples. The lead Research Specialist willwork closely with investigators to coordinate sample logistics andprocessing; conduct laboratory assays; collaborate with researchinvestigators on MIDUS study protocols; coordinate shipment and trackingof biological samples across multiple research sites; performimmunological and related assays to measure hormones, immune system, andother health related biomarkers; perform analyses related to biomarkerassays to assess health outcomes; and contribute to interdisciplinaryresearch integrating biological, psychological, and socioeconomic dataimpact on health and well-being. Key Job Responsibilities: Operates,cleans, and maintains organization of research equipment and researcharea. Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders Monitorslongitudinal data for accuracy; prepares final reports for datadistribution; and monitors for protocol compliance. Performs literaturereviews and writes reports Conducts research experiments according toestablished research protocols with moderate impact to the project(s).Collects data and monitors test results Provides operational guidance onday-to-day activities of unit or program staff and/or student workersParticipates in the development, interpretation, and implementation ofresearch methodology and materials Reviews, analyzes, and interpretsdata and/or documents results for presentations and/or reporting tointernal and external audiencesDepartment: Office of...
