MIDUS investigateshow biological, psychological, and socioeconomic factors influencemental and physical health across the lifespan. This position is part ofthe MIDUS Biological Core, which manages the collection, shipment, andanalysis of human biological samples. The lead Research Specialist willwork closely with investigators to coordinate sample logistics andprocessing; conduct laboratory assays; collaborate with researchinvestigators on MIDUS study protocols; coordinate shipment and trackingof biological samples across multiple research sites; performimmunological and related assays to measure hormones, immune system, andother health related biomarkers; perform analyses related to biomarkerassays to assess health outcomes; and contribute to interdisciplinaryresearch integrating biological, psychological, and socioeconomic dataimpact on health and well-being. Key Job Responsibilities: Operates,cleans, and maintains organization of research equipment and researcharea. Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders Monitorslongitudinal data for accuracy; prepares final reports for datadistribution; and monitors for protocol compliance.
