JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description: Ryan Companies has excitingopportunities in 2026 to join our team as a Safety Engineer Intern inour Atlanta or Phoenix locations This position is available as a Summerinternship running from May-August. This is an outstanding opportunityto learn construction-specific safety considerations at Ryan CompaniesMission Critical project sites. The Safety Engineer Intern assists theSafety Manager in the overall implementation of the Ryan Safety Programand serves as a technical resource for field operations. This positionworks closely with Project Managers and Superintendents in dealing withall Health and Safety issues on site, at the project level. Some thingsyou can expect to do: Assist Project Management Team in establishing andimplementing Ryan Safety and Site Safety Program. Assist ProjectManagement and Superintendent in obtaining and reviewing SubcontractorSafety submittals. Ensure that the Ryan Safety Program is kept up todate. Review safety procedures with each foreman as required. Providetraining to the craft workers on safe work procedures. Conduct anddocument site-safety audits/inspections. Distribute new and changingsafety related information and provide orientation training whennecessary. Review and monitor subcontractor safety activities. Develop asafety culture and rapport with contractors, supervision andcrafts-persons. Promote employee participation. Communicate with alllevels of personnel. Monitor project safety and identify and implementnecessary changes to promote a safe working environment. Attend and bepart of the industry safety organization such as OSHA, AGC, ASSP, etc.Improve safety education and training skills. Communicate with clientsafety personnel, Subcontractor safety personnel, etc. Spend 70% to 80%of time spent at the field site; 20% to 30% of time spent in office. Tobe successful in this role, you must be: Pursuing a bachelor's degreein occupational safety and health, safety management, constructionsafety sciences, construction safety management, field and occupationalsafety (Safety Management, etc.). Within 6 to 24 months of graduatingwith a four-year degree, ideally in a construction or safety relatedfield of study. Able to work 40 hours a week for a two to three-monthterm.
