Conducts all laboratory work in a safe manner including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use of laboratory equipment, 5S, etc. + Execute lab testing and generate test data, documentation and laboratory reports for projects assigned by Engineers and/or Supervisor + Communicates basic observations regarding data and/or experimental outcomes + Employ basic problem-solving skillsets to overcome project bottlenecks and maintain project deliverable dates + Programming of robots, comfortable with a variety of curing and dispensing equipment + May train other technicians regarding equipment operation and/or test procedures + Take on equipment ownership and responsibility for maintaining safe operation of the assigned equipment + Report laboratory results and methods according to accepted company lab practices; results, reports and observations will be communicated to internal/external customers + Understanding of mathematical and statistical techniques relevant to adhesive product testing What makes you a good fit + Minimum of an associateu2019s degree in engineering, chemistry, biology or a science field. Preferred bacheloru2019s degree in engineering, chemistry, biology or a science field + 1 to 3 years of experience working in a Chemical laboratory is preferred + Nice to have polymer thermal, mechanical, rheological, spectroscopic, and microscopy experience along with test and data processing automation + Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical and mechanical data + Solid interpersonal skills + Candidate must be able to work as a team member and independently on multi-task assignments + Knowledgeable in Power Point, Word, Lotus Notes, Excel and Statistical Analysis Software is preferred + Availability to work different shifts if needed + Ability to work in a chemical lab environment and with lab equipment and computers. Able to carry out laboratory activities + Frequently sit, view a computer screen, and type on a keyboard for extended periods of time + Strong verbal communication skills one-on-one with colleagues/customers as well as in front of groups. u00b7 Uses good scientific judgment, statistical analysis, root cause identification and robust solution implementation + Occasionally may be required to reach, squat, bend and lift up to 25 lbs. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.
