Description We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Applied AI - AVA Intelligence team withinChannel Sales. This role owns how artificial intelligence is reasoned, contextualized,and applied across all commerce domains (StoreAI, ShoppingAI, LearningAI,ContentGenAI, Decision Intelligence) u2014 ensuring AI decisions, content, and domainintelligence are coherent, scalable, and trustworthy across products and regions.This position is responsible for the intelligence layer, the brain behind all of our nextgeneration sales product. The role operates at a system level and partners closely withPlatform & Foundation, Human Interface Engineering, and Product teams to bringintelligence safely and consistently into customer-facing experiences.As the AVA Intelligence leader, you will be accountable for how intelligence is designed,integrated, and delivered across multiple surfaces, while partnering closely withPlatform, Human Interface, and Product teams. This role operates at a system level and iscritical to scaling AI across 38+ locales with Apple-level quality and trust. Minimum Qualifications + 12+ years of experience in applied machine learning, decision systems, or large-scale AI systems. + 5+ years leading teams and managing managers and extended direct reports. + Proven leadership of teams building AI or data-driven systems used across multiple products. + Strong grounding in ML, optimization, and applied intelligence system design. + Experience operating AI systems across multiple regions or languages. + Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and system-level tradeoffs. + Successful track record of working closely with design and engineering teams during the full GenAI/LLM product lifecycle, including research, planning, implementation and launch. + Experience executing operational efficiency, business strategy, decision making and transforming organizations. + Extraordinary verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience. + Strong experience leading cross-functional initiatives with a clear impact on the direction of products. + Strong organizational skills, able to handle ambiguity with experience in thriving in a startup environment within a large organization. + Demonstrates attention to detail and enjoys both hands-on work and high-level strategic thinking. Preferred Qualifications + Experience with personalization, recommendation systems, or commerce intelligence. + Familiarity with generative AI systems used for content or knowledge creation. + Experience with multilingual or global-scale AI deployments. + Track record of developing senior technical leaders.
