As a member of the team, you will review building and development plans for compliance with building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing codes and regulations. This position may focus on commercial plan reviews within one or more of the following disciplines: architectural, mechanical, electrical, or plumbing. This role could also focus on residential plan review including all plan review disciplines. Plans Examiner I: $32.77 - $48.43 Hourly Plans Examiner II: $35.38 - $52.32 Hourly The Plans Examiner I is a training underfill position, upon successful completion of the training program the successful candidate will be non-competitively promoted to Plans Examiner II. This is an open and continuous recruitment, scheduling dates will vary depending on when the application was received and reviewed by Human Resources. The Building Department is responsible for ensuring public safety through the effective enforcement of development and construction standards which include issuance of permits, plan reviews, inspection services for conformity to the State of Nevada and the adopted Model Codes. Professional level experience and/or education that has provided the skills and knowledge necessary to perform all job functions at this level may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Plans Examiner II - In addition to the above, minimum of one (1) year of full-time professional experience in a combination of residential, commercial, zoning and/or industrial plans examination.
