JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the technical support,project management supervision, and field support for the commissioning,monitoring, diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and retrofit of transmissionand distribution equipment, especially large and specialized serviceprojects generally exceeding $250,000. This position will providefeedback to management on labor and equipment shortages and effectiveallocation of resource capabilities. This position will be instrumentalin the work planning, scheduling, and documentation of Transformer FieldService projects. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Providetechnical support in monitoring and diagnosing equipment problems forcustomer and field technicians Analyze test data for equipment Performequipment failure analysis evaluations Perform technical training forcustomers and technicians Facilitate technical resolution of specializedproblems with product division. Assist marketing/sales in development ofthe technical work scope for project quotations Provide field support,troubleshooting, and technical direction of personnel Prepare materialrequisitions for any required project materials/rentals Prepare workorder information for crews Schedule and dispatch personnel andequipment for region Conduct exit meetings with crew leaders to reviewwork orders Remain fully proficient in 3 or more of the 5 technicalcompetencies listed below: Transformer Assembly Electrical TestingControls LTC's Oil Processing Perform Field Service Tech duties asassigned based on business needs. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &ABILITIES Mechanically inclined and have basic knowledge of hand toolsBasic understanding of operating heavy machinery/equipment.Self-directed, positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability tofollow instructions/directions. Advanced computer skills. Understandingof transformer/industry specifications to be able totroubleshoot/analyze data. Excellent written and verbal communicationskills. Excellent organizational skills with a strong focus on attentionto detail. Team player with a positive attitude and willing to supportother areas of the business when requested. Strong interpersonal skillsare required to achieve cooperation, negotiate and reach agreement withcustomers, suppliers, and internal employees Strong business acumen withability to multi-task and handle multiple projects concurrently in orderto cost effectively meet fixed schedules.
