We are looking for a driven and curious Civil Engineer to support our federal team in a hybrid capacity at either our Arlington or Boston offices.As a key member of our team, you’ll join our collaborative process providing our clients with award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design-build project delivery. The ideal candidate is one who is passionate about traditional site civil design and also interested in developing solutions that address our country’s water, resiliency, and disaster recovery challenges through measures such as floodwalls and stormwater pump stations. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a team environment and coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians in and out of your discipline group, as well as with clients and end users in Federal Civilian and Department of Defense (DoD) government agencies. Join us and we will assist in growing your career and exploring all that you can do across our global company, with opportunities to share your knowledge along the way.Responsibilities include:Act as civil design lead and Engineer of Record for functional teams on projects with varying complexity around the countryWork closely with project managers to respond to client Requests for Proposal (RFPs) with written, technical scopes of work and estimated levels of effortPlan and execute work independently while performing non-routine and complex assignmentsInterpret business issues and recommend best practicesInterpret and implement regulatory code requirements and design standards based on extensive experience with federal programsLead teams in the preparation engineering assessment reports and design documents, including plans, specifications, calculations, and basis of design reportsServe as a quality control reviewer to ensure civil department deliverables meet client scope requirements, engineering best practices, industry standardsProvide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to developing engineers in complex situationsContinually develop skills by being proactive in advancing your own workflows, systems, tools, and communication techniquesOccasionally travel to project and client sites for observations, meetings, and presentations Here's what you'll need Bachelors Degree in Civil EngineeringRegistration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one stateAt least 10 years of experience with civil site development projects and/or civil works infrastructure projectsDetailed knowledge of civil site and infrastructure design, including site layout, pavement design, grading, utilities, drainage, stormwater management and erosion & sediment controlFamiliarity with architecture and related engineering disciplinesAttention to detail and commitment to qualityFamiliarity with applicable federal codes and standards, including Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs)United States CitizenshipExpertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D design softwareExperience with Bluebeam software Posted Salary Range: Minimum 115,400.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 201,900.00 Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
