Grand Hyatt Vail is seeking colleagues with unmatched service.The Assistant Rooms Manager is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the entire housekeeping and front office areas, to include public areas and night cleaning. Responsibilities include: staff training, inter-departmental communications, development and scheduling. The Assistant Rooms Manager will promote an atmosphere that insures customer and associate satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Rooms Manager and requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, other departments and team members. The budgeted range for this position starts at $66,100. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.Responsibilities include:-Assist with short and long term planning and the management of the hotel’s Housekeeping, Laundry and Front Officeoperations-Maintain guest room inventory-Champion Hyatt initiatives including World of Hyatt Enrollments and Room Upsell programs-Cross train with Front Office to understand policies and procedures necessary for daily operations- Perform all tasks of a Front Office Staff as needed to facilitate service- Maintain information on prices, rates, specials, packages, programs, etc, while ensuring all staff are trained in all areas- Ensure all operations and cash handling are done per policies and procedures- Solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars- See that inspection program is consistently maintained- Inspect some rooms daily - Experience purchasing linens and housekeeping supplies- Ensure OSHA and ADA policies are adhered to- Experience with turndown service, special needs of VIP Guests, foreign dignitaries, etc. helpful- Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt Service Standards and Procedures- Analyze, investigate, and resolve guest complaints- Ensures proper staffing levels for customer service goals- Be a safety/emergency procedure champion: assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed within the hotel, serve as head of safety and GBAC committeeWhy Work at Hyatt?Enjoy free meals in our colleague cafeteria for every shift workedFree parking on-site1 hour of sick pay earned for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours/yearDiscounted & Complimentary hotel room nightsMedical, Dental, Vision Insurance - (Full-Time colleagues)Flexible Spending Account (Full-Time colleagues)Retirement Savings PlanBasic Life InsurancePTO earned based on hours worked, up to 17 days in your first year (Full-Time & Part-Time)Opportunities to work around the world with Hyatt Hotels and ResortsEnd of Season Ski Pass BonusHyatt associates work in an environment that demands exceptional performance yet reaps great rewards.
