Position Description: We're growing rapidly and are seeking a Software Asset Management Analyst - ServiceNow to join our CGI team!This position can be located remotely anywhere in the US; however, the preferred location would be a commutable distance to any US CGI office, a hybrid working model is acceptable.CST working hours will be required!We're a close-knit team that has access to global resources. Manage software licenses for major publishers (Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk, Atlassian, Figma, Smartsheet, etc.). Perform compliance audits, create software models, entitlements, and reconcile procurement data. Define and document SAM processes and SOPs for governance and lifecycle management. Create process documents and design process diagrams using Microsoft Visio (Web version). Process standard/non-standard software requests; reclaim unused licenses and allocate via publisher portals. For non-standard requests: Categorize products as free or paid through detailed research; if paid, coordinate with procurement for license purchase, then publish in ServiceNow catalogue and create entitlements. Maintain ServiceNow software catalogue. Execute license revocation for EU and NA regions. Configure software models, contracts, and entitlements; utilize License Workbench for dashboards and compliance tracking. Generate Effective License Position (ELP) reports and analyse usage trends for cost optimization. Collaborate with HR, procurement, IT teams, and external vendors to align software usage with policies. Drive automation and process improvements within ServiceNow SAM Pro. Prepare monthly SAM performance decks and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on best practices. Conduct and drive meetings with stakeholders to review SAM performance, compliance, and optimization initiatives. Maintain and track SAM Action Item Tracker; prepare and circulate MoM for governance. Initiated cost-saving activities by reclaiming unused licenses, optimizing allocations, and reducing unnecessary software spend Required qualifications to be successful in this role: What you'll bring. 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a strong focus on Software Asset Management (SAM) and ServiceNow. ServiceNow SAM Pro (License Workbench, dashboards, reporting). SAM Reporting: ELP, usage analysis, installation vs allocation. Publisher License Models: Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk, Atlassian etc.. Audit & True-Up, Microsoft MLS report processing. Vendor coordination and procurement support. Process documentation & diagrams (Microsoft Visio), advanced Excel. Discovery data analysis (SCCM, Qualys, ACC). Cost optimization & compliance governance. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Exceptional technical writing and documentation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
