This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing and performing the demolition and framing phases of high-end residential remodeling projects. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Lead Framing Carpenter ensures projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet Agape’s high standards of craftsmanship—while maintaining a positive, professional relationship with homeowners and crew members. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead and perform all demolition and rough framing activities on residential remodeling projectsRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, change orders, and carpentry documentsComplete accurate material takeoffs and coordinate material orderingLayout and install walls, floor systems, roof framing, stairs, siding, decks, porches, and exterior trimRead Truss packages and set trusses; calculate rafters and construct stick-built roof framing using framing squaresPerform demolition work, including lead testing and abatement when requiredCoordinate daily activities with the Project Manager and subcontractorsSchedule inspections and ensure work meets applicable building codesOversee, train, and mentor apprentices and carpenters on the crewCommunicate professionally with homeowners throughout the projectMaintain daily jobsite documentation, including field books, punch lists, and daily diariesAccurately track time daily using the company timekeeping systemFollow all Agape Construction policies and proceduresAdhere strictly to company safety policies, attend safety trainings, report incidents promptly, and contribute to a safe jobsite environment Qualifications 8+ years of residential carpentry experience preferred (minimum 6 years required)Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage crews and direct daily workExcellent blueprint reading, layout, and structural framing knowledgeWorking knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical codesAbility to perform material takeoffs and project layouts independentlyExperience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractorsStrong communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitudePhysically able to perform demanding carpentry work, including lifting up to 75 lbs., climbing ladders/scaffolding, and working at heightsReliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and consistent attendanceAbility to maintain a clean, professional appearance while wearing company-issued clothingA background check will be completed as part of the onboarding process, in compliance with applicable lawsEducation: High School Diploma or GED preferred Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife and Disability Insurance Retirement Savings ProgramPaid Time Off (PTO) and Paid HolidaysPaid Training and CertificationsBi-Weekly Pay CycleMileage ReimbursementSafety Equipment and Clothing ProvidedCompany EventsStrong Work-Life Balance with consistent schedules Work Schedule Monday-FridaySteady 40-hour workweeks Work Location Onsite residential job sites throughout the St. Louis, Missouri areaNo overnight or out-of-state travel required Equal Employment Opportunity We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
