Whatu2019s a typical day as a Technical Troubleshooting Specialist? Youu2019ll be: u2022 Proficiently performing remote troubleshooting of power assets escalated from Fleet Support Operators using advanced digital tools. u2022 Documenting and communicating technical data generated by assigned projects in line with engineering policies and procedures. u2022 Providing timely communications and escalating significant issues or developments observed during day-to-day monitoring to respective stakeholders. u2022 Read, understand, execute and seek opportunities to highlight updates as needed for Fault handling procedures. u2022 Document and communicate the technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures u2022 Adhere to applicable regulatory compliance requirements as applicable to local requirements. u2022 Support (and potentially execute) Parameter and Software updates as needed or requested by leadership. u2022 Provide timely communications/escalate with the respective stakeholders on significant issues or developments observed during day-to-day monitoring u2022 Participate in teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues u2022 Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures u2022 Actively feed lessons learned back into procedures and quality checks to drive ROC world class operational excellence u2022 Resolution and troubleshooting of ServiceNow support cases. u2022 Assist as requested to train new employees. u2022 Document all work performed via guidelines in approved procedures and appropriate playbook via provided digital tools. u2022 Support as requested planned and unplanned Balance of Plant responsibilities as well as Fleet Support Operator responsibilities should a need arise, u2022 Actively manage customer phone support requests This job might be an outstanding fit if you: u2022 Hold a Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Energy Technologies, Operations, or Computer Science, OR an Associateu2019s degree with a minimum of 3 years of technical experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of technical experience. u2022 Are willing to travel up to 10% and work out of the Schenectady office on a 24/7 rotating shift structure, including potential on-call support. + Desired Characteristics + Strong oral and written communication skills. + Ability to learn technology outside of one's specialty + Ability to analyze and execute technical processes + Self-driven and ability to demonstrate leadership skills + Ability to make decisions and to adopt responsibility + Ability to work with multicultural teams, strong team player + High flexibility and motivation What happens next Once you apply, youu2019ll proceed to the next steps if your skills and experience look like a good fit.
