This position offers valuable hands-on experience across multiple platforms and tools, making it ideal for candidates with a foundational understanding of IT operations and a strong interest in cybersecurity and system maintenance.Carry out routine system tasks such as user account setup, password resets, and access permissionsMonitor system functionality and help diagnose hardware and software-related issuesSupport the rollout of updates, patches, and antivirus solutions in compliance with DoD cybersecurity directives (STIGs/IAVM)Help maintain core services like Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy under the guidance of senior administratorsContribute to security compliance efforts through participation in RMF-based control implementationAid in updating system documentation, including configuration records and procedural guidesAssist in executing backup and restoration procedures to ensure system continuityProvide operational support for cybersecurity tools such as HBSS, ACAS, and SIEM technologiesRespond to technical support requests and collaborate with the help desk team to resolve end-user issuesMinimum Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance with Eligibility for TS.Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a System AdministratorMust have a current DoD 8140/ (8570) IAT Level II approved certification (i.e. CompTIA Security+ CE)At least 1 year of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administrationBasic knowledge of managing operating systems, user permissions, and file structuresFamiliarity with either Windows Server or Linux systemsAbility to follow structured processes, maintain clear documentation, and escalate issues when neededStrong interest in learning and contributing to a mission-driven, security-focused teamRequirements of position: Think analytically, effective verbal and written communication skills, make decisions, observe/remember details, interpret data, concentrate on tasks, adjust to change, handle stress/emotions.
