Summary C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center's Diagnostic Imaging Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Physician (Radiology/Diagnostic) Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program. Please note this is a part time position. EDRP Authorized, Recruitment Sign On Bonus Authorized for highly qualified candidates. Responsibilities This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.EDRP Authorized: Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply for incentive. Read reports and record results for review by physicians. Perform Fluoroscopic exams or CT guided procedures as required. Oversee the administration of contrast media to ensure that all required protocols are within Service/Medical Center guidelines. Involved with teaching of the USF Residents whom most have academic appointments. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; Part Time Hours- 30 hours per week(Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs). Requirements Conditions of Employment U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
