Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities + Drive improvements in operations through process optimization and support for tooling and equipment. + Reduce costs and enhance quality in manufacturing processes. + Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure consistent manufacturing performance. + Create, update, and manage standard work, process maps, work instructions, and maintain accurate and current documentation for all manufacturing processes and workflows. + Establish and sustain standardized procedures, process documentation, and routing structures. + Contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts through process development, capacity analysis, and launch readiness. + Work with tooling, maintenance, and engineering teams on die design, process improvements, and equipment upgrades. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5+ years of experience in a related field. + Experience in a manufacturing environment, with preference for forging or metal forming experience. + Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment. + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. + Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marengo, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $45.00/hr.
