Job Summary The AI Infrastructure Intern position is part of SHIu2019s immersive Advanced Growth Technologies (AGT) Internship, designed to develop the next generation of technical talent for AI and Digital Transformation initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience within SHIu2019s AGT teams, providing exposure to enterprise-scale environments and modern AI-driven platforms. Interns will focus on the foundational systems and architectures that enable AI solutions at scale, learning how AI workloads are deployed, managed, secured, and optimized. Role Description Include, but are not limited to: + Participate in SHIu2019s AGT AI Platforms team, contributing to both lab and infrastructure initiatives. + Support internal and customer-facing innovation efforts, including use case demos and digital transformation projects. + Shadow and partner with engineering teams to understand end-to-end technology workflows and business processes. + Assist with the design, validation, and documentation of environments supporting machine learning, analytics, and automation workloads. + Explore infrastructure considerations for AI solutions, including scalability, reliability, security, and cost optimization. + Contribute to automation efforts that enhance infrastructure reliability and operational efficiency. + Evaluate emerging infrastructure technologies and platforms relevant to AI workloads. + Document technical work and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Provide regular status updates to mentors and program leadership. Skill Level Requirements + Ability to assist with installation and configuration of operating systems and infrastructure components (compute, storage, networking) for enterprise environments. u2013 Beginner + Ability to develop and troubleshoot basic automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages. u2013 Beginner + Ability to monitor and report on infrastructure and system performance, escalating issues as needed. u2013 Beginner + Ability to document technical procedures, reference architectures, and findings clearly and accurately. u2013 Intermediate + Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, IT, security) to support project objectives and platform initiatives. u2013 Intermediate + Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. u2013 Intermediate + Familiarity with Linux, Windows, virtualization, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), or networking concepts, with willingness to apply and expand this knowledge. u2013 Beginner Other Requirements + Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in good academicstandingworking towards a bacheloru2019s degree. + Must be available toparticipatefor the full 12-week internship duration. + Must be able to work onsite as required by the internship program. + Mustbe authorized towork in the U.S. The pay range for this position is $20.00 per hour.
